Join us in Gather at Mindful Mercantile for a festive evening with River Road Banner Co. as you create your own oversized, personalized Advent calendar.
What You’ll Create
You’ll paint a 2' × 3' kraft-paper calendar, complete with 24 numbered paper envelopes ready to fill with little treats, activities, notes or holiday surprises. You’ll choose the wording and font for the top of your calendar, which will be outlined and ready for you to paint when you arrive.
Then, you’ll create a no-sew fabric chain garland to pair with your finished calendar and add a little old-fashioned Christmas charm.
No special artistic skills needed. Everything will be prepared for you, and all materials and instruction are included.

Choose a family name, Christmas phrase or holiday sentiment for the top of your calendar. River Road Banner Co. will outline your selection ahead of the workshop so it’s ready to paint when you arrive.
Fill your envelopes at home with whatever makes the season meaningful for your family: a favorite Christmas movie, baking cookies together, a small treat, looking at Christmas lights, a note for someone you love. The calendar becomes yours long after the paint dries.

Parking is available behind the building, along Columbia Road, and in the public lot behind Grand Pacific Popcorn.
