In-Store Purchase, Return & Refill Policy
Mindful Mercantile operates as an in-store retail and refill shop. We do not sell products online at this time. All purchases, refills, and consultations occur in person at our physical location.
Because of the nature of refillable and personal-use products, please review the following policies before purchasing.
Returns & Exchanges
To maintain product safety and integrity:
All refill purchases are final.
Opened or used products are not eligible for return or exchange.
Unopened, unused retail items (non-refill, non-personal care) may be eligible for exchange or store credit within 7 days of purchase, with receipt.
We are unable to offer refunds for:
Products dispensed into customer-provided containers
Products once opened, used, or altered
Preference-based concerns (scent, texture, performance expectations)
We are always happy to answer questions and help guide selections before purchase.
We proudly encourage reuse and refilling as part of our commitment to sustainability. To ensure safe refilling practices:
Containers must be clean, dry, and free of residue
Containers must be appropriate for the product being dispensed
Mindful Mercantile staff reserves the right to decline refilling any container that appears unsanitary, damp, damaged, or unsuitable
Bring Your Own Container (BYOC) Refill Policy
Once a product is dispensed into a customer-provided container:
Mindful Mercantile is not responsible for contamination, spoilage, separation, scent changes, or product performance issues
Product stability and shelf life cannot be guaranteed due to factors outside our control, including prior contents, moisture, storage conditions, temperature, or handling
This policy allows us to continue offering refills responsibly while prioritizing safety and quality.
Allergies, Sensitivities & Proper Use
Our products are thoughtfully sourced, but individual needs vary.
We cannot guarantee products will be suitable for all individuals
Patch testing is recommended for personal care items
Mindful Mercantile is not responsible for reactions, sensitivities, or misuse once products leave the shop
Product Concerns
If you believe a product has a true defect unrelated to container condition, storage, or use, please notify us within 48 hours of purchase so we may review the concern on a case-by-case basis.
